Great turn out for the Special

The event was well publicised and this drew great crowds at all stops and on the trains. Santa gave out over 350 'goody' bags to all the children and mince pies for the adults. The bags contained safety information as well as gifts for the kids. Not one bag was found discarded and all kids were happy, there was a lot of smiling faces. Northern Rail supplied the bags and the Co-op supplied the mince pies, very tasty.

YCCRP stand giving out leaflets

YCCRP flew the flag for community rail partnerships giving out information covering all aspects of rail travel, and promoting special deals on offer from Northern Rail for their passengers.

Some of Santa's little elves get the next load of giftd

The gala was well supported

Plenty of people attended the Gala and supported the Charities and stall holders, and to look at the working model railway layouts put on by the Bridlington Model Railway Society. All proceeds made by the YCCRP (£136) where for the benefit of The Railway Children Society.

RSPCA helpers

Members of the RSPCA have a smile on their face and ate more mince pies than anyone.

Early morning setting up the stalls

The stall holders arrived early to set up before the crowds arrived.
